The Zenith Pilot Automatic places a black dial with horizontal grooves inside a 40 mm black microblasted ceramic case. The shared colour brings the case and dial together, with texture distinguishing their surfaces. Designed as a unisex wristwatch, it displays the time with central seconds and a date indication. The automatic El Primero calibre provides a power reserve of 60 hours, and water resistance is rated to 100 metres. Two interchangeable rubber straps with a Cordura effect are supplied, one in black and one in khaki green. They offer a change of colour on the wrist while retaining the same material and surface effect.
