About the house

Founded in Geneva in 1839, Patek Philippe is one of the world’s last great independent, family-owned watchmakers. Under the stewardship of the Stern family since 1932, the manufacture designs and crafts every essential component of its timepieces in-house, from movements to the most refined finishing details.

Celebrated for its technical achievements, iconic complications and uncompromising standards of quality embodied by the Patek Philippe Seal, the House has created some of the most revered watches in horological history. Its Calatrava Cross has become the symbol of a timeless elegance, where technical mastery is always placed in the service of beauty and legibility.

At Patek Philippe, a watch is never created for a single lifetime. It is destined to be cherished, preserved and passed on from one generation to the next.

Why we chose this house

The relationship between Maison De Greef and Patek Philippe extends far beyond a traditional partnership. Both Houses share the same vision: a deep respect for craftsmanship, a commitment to family independence and a dedication to preserving a legacy that endures through time.

Since 1979, this relationship has been built on continuity, trust and shared values. Paul Wittmann developed close ties with Philippe Stern, followed by Arnaud and Jacques Wittmann alongside Thierry Stern. Today, Sacha Wittmann continues this dialogue with Adrien Stern. A rare continuity that reflects the mutual respect and enduring bond between two families united by a common vision.

A symbol of this special relationship came in 2017 with the opening of a dedicated Patek Philippe space within Maison De Greef’s Brussels boutique, a tangible expression of the trust that has connected both Houses for generations.
